A local transfer sends money to any bank account in Saudi Arabia using the partner's IBAN. Use it to pay suppliers, contractors, and anyone who banks domestically.

💡 Who can do this: Anyone with the Make payments permission. Payments may need approval depending on your company's settings.

What you'll need

• The partner's full name as it appears on their bank account.
• Their Saudi IBAN — 24 characters, starting with SA.

💡 Tip: Always copy the IBAN directly from an invoice or the partner's bank details. A single wrong digit can delay or misroute a payment.

Add a local payment method

1. Open the partner from Payments → Partners.
2. Click Add payment method and choose Local (Saudi Arabia).
3. Enter the partner's:
   • Account holder name
   • IBAN (SA followed by 22 digits)
4. SiFi automatically detects the bank from the IBAN.
5. Click Save.

Verify the account

For your protection, SiFi confirms the account belongs to the right partner before the first payment. You'll see the verified account holder name returned by the bank — check that it matches who you expect to pay.

If the name doesn't match, stop and double-check the IBAN with your partner before sending. For more details, see Verifying a payment method.

Send a local transfer

1. Open the partner and click Pay.
2. Select the Local payment method.
3. Enter the amount in SAR.
4. Add a note (optional) — for example, an invoice or PO number.
5. Review the details, including the fee and expected arrival time shown on screen.
6. Click Send.

You'll see the expected arrival time before you confirm, and the payment appears in your history right away.

Processing time

Transfers made outside of business hours or on weekends and public holidays may be processed on the next business day, regardless of amount.

1. SARIE Confirmation Emails: Incoming SARIE transfer notification emails now display the Sender Name, Sender Bank Name, and Channel.

Good to know

• Costs are always shown up front. You'll see any fee before you confirm — no surprises.
• Reusable. Once saved and verified, you can pay this partner again in seconds.
• Available on mobile. Local transfers can be sent from both the web and the mobile app.
  

  

  When making a local transfer, the sending amount must now be at least SAR 1.00. If an amount below this threshold is entered, you will see an inline message reading, "Minimum transfer amount is SAR 1.00," and you will need to adjust the amount before proceeding.
