Migrating your existing beneficiaries as partners

Migrating your existing beneficiaries as partners

If your company already pays suppliers today, you don't have to start from scratch. The first time you open Partner Payments, SiFi lets you migrate your existing payees as partners. Partners include everything a beneficiary stores, with additional capabilities as outlined below.

Why migrate?

Beneficiaries store basic payment details (name and IBAN). Partners offer more:

  • Verified payment details — account information is checked before saving
  • Full contact information — phone, email, address alongside payment details
  • Multiple payment methods — a partner can have local, international, and SiFi accounts
  • Payment history — every transfer linked to the partner profile
  • Profile completeness tracking — SiFi guides you to fill in missing information

What gets migrated

Each bank account and IBAN you've paid before can be migrated as a partner, with its payment method ready to use. Your existing payment history carries over to the new partner profiles.

How to migrate

  1. Go to Payments → Partners.
  2. If you have saved beneficiaries, a banner appears: "You have X saved beneficiaries."
  3. Click Migrate to start the process.
  4. Review the list and select the payees you want to keep.
  5. Give each a clear name and alias so they're easy to find later.
  6. Click Confirm and your partners are created and ready to pay.

💡 You stay in control. Nothing is migrated until you review and confirm it.

After migrating

  • Check that each partner's payment method shows the right account.
  • Some accounts may need a quick verification before the first payment. See Verifying a payment method.
  • You can edit, archive, or add new payment methods anytime.

Good to know

  • Migration is optional. Beneficiaries continue to work as before. However, migrating gives you verified details, better organization, and a complete history per partner.
  • Migrating doesn't change any past payments — it just saves the payee so you can pay them again easily.
  • After migration, the beneficiary entry remains in the Beneficiaries list until you remove it. The partner profile is a separate, enhanced record.
  • If a saved account is a SiFi account, SiFi may suggest paying by internal transfer instead — free and instant.
