When using your SiFi Card, you might sometimes need more funds than your current limit allows perhaps for a specific purchase or a recurring increase.
The Card Limit Request feature lets you ask for a higher limit, which will be reviewed and approved based on your company’s internal approval policies.
A Card Limit Request allows employees (non-admin users) to ask for an increase in their card spending limit.
This feature ensures that spending control remains in place while giving flexibility for one-time or recurring needs.
There are two types of card limit requests you can make:
A Temporary Limit Request is used when you need a short-term increase in your card limit—for example, to cover a specific purchase or urgent expense.
Example:
Let’s say your weekly card limit is 100 SAR, and you need an extra 100 SAR to buy office supplies.
You can request a temporary increase of 100 SAR.
Once approved, your new total limit becomes 200 SAR until the end of your current recurrence cycle (e.g., until the end of the week).
After that, your limit automatically returns to 100 SAR.
When to use it:
For one-time purchases.
For temporary or project-based needs.
For short-term additional spending during your current cycle.
A Permanent Limit Request is used when you need a long-term or permanent change in your card limit.
Example:
If your current weekly limit is 100 SAR and you regularly need 110 SAR,
you can request a permanent limit increase to 110 SAR.
Once approved, your card limit will remain 110 SAR for all future cycles until changed again.
When to use it:
When your ongoing spending pattern changes.
For role or responsibility-based updates.
For a revised card policy or budget allocation.
You can request a card limit increase from either the web app or the mobile app.
Here’s how:
Log in to your SiFi account.
Go to the Cards section.
Select your card.
Click on Request Limit.
Choose the type of limit request:
Temporary Limit (one-time increase)
Permanent Limit (ongoing change)
Enter the requested limit amount.
Add a reason or note (optional but recommended).
Click Submit.
Once submitted, your request will go through your company’s approval policy before taking effect.
Open the SiFi app.
Tap on Cards.
Select the card you want to update.
Tap Request Limit.
Select Temporary or Permanent.
Enter your new limit and an optional note.
Tap Submit Request.
That’s it! You’ll receive a notification once your request is approved or declined.
Your request will automatically appear in the Action Center (for approvers).
Approvers can review, approve, or reject it under:
My Actions → Card Limit Requests
Once approved, your card limit will update immediately:
Temporary: Valid until the current recurrence cycle ends.
Permanent: Updated permanently for all future cycles.
Always check if your company has an approval policy for card limit requests.
For temporary needs, ensure the reason is clearly mentioned to speed up approval.
You’ll receive email and in-app notifications once your request is processed.
If you don’t see the “Request Limit” option, your role permissions may not include this feature contact your admin or finance manager for access.
