3DS (3-D Secure) is an extra security layer used for online card transactions.
It was developed by Mastercard, Visa, and other global networks to protect both cardholders and merchants against fraud.
Instead of only entering your card number, expiry date, and CVV, you may be asked to complete an extra verification step for example, entering a one-time password (OTP) sent to your mobile number.

This ensures the person making the purchase is the authorized cardholder, not someone misusing your card details.

π³ Are SiFi Cards Enrolled in 3DS?
Yes. all SiFi physical and virtual cards are enrolled in 3DS.
This means:

You should not face issues with merchants that require 3DS.

SiFi will still apply its fraud checks, card rules, and spending controls.

If a transaction violates company rules (e.g., restricted category, blocked merchant, or limit exceeded), it will be declined β even if you successfully pass 3DS.
β Why am I Asked to Verify Transactions?
When shopping online, some merchants request extra authentication to confirm your identity.
This is the 3DS verification step usually an OTP sent via SMS or a manual PIN for physical transaction. This is normal and ensures your payment is processed securely.
