đź’¸ Beneficiary Has Not Received the Transfer

Overview

If the beneficiary has not received your transfer, don’t worry this is usually a temporary delay caused by bank processing times, verification checks, or incorrect account details.

SiFi ensures your funds are safe until they’re either successfully credited to the beneficiary or refunded if the transfer cannot be completed.

đź•“ Understanding Transfer Timelines

SiFi processes transfers through the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) payment systems  Instant Payment (IPS) and SARIE.

Transfer Type

Amount

Expected Time

Instant Payment (IPS)
Below 20,000 SAR
Instant, usually within seconds

SARIE Transfer
20,000 SAR or above
As per Sarie standard timings usually within a few hours on working days

SARIE after 3:30
Any amount
Processed on the next working day

Weekends & Public Holiday
20,000 SAR or above
Processed on the next working day

Note: IPS speed depends on the receiving bank’s instant payment support.
Some banks may delay new beneficiaries or first-time transfers for security checks.

📬 Transfer Has Been Sent but Not Yet Received

If your transfer has been marked as Paid in SiFi but the beneficiary has not received it yet, here’s what’s happening:

  • The receiving bank is still processing the money.

  • Some banks process transfers instantly, while others may take up to 1 working day to release the funds to the recipient.

  • Your money is safely on its way, and no action is needed from your side right now.

  • If it’s urgent, the recipient can contact their bank and share the external payment reference number (available on your transfer receipt) to help them locate and release the funds faster.

đź“„ Transfer Receipt

Once your transfer is processed, you’ll receive an email confirmation containing the transfer receipt.

This receipt includes the external payment reference number that your beneficiary or vendor can share with their bank to track the payment.

⚙️ How SiFi Handles Transfers

  • Once the transfer is processed, it’s marked as Paid in SiFi.

  • SiFi initiates the payment through partner banks and payment networks.

  • Occasionally, transfers may face issues such as:

    • Invalid or incorrect IBAN

    • Technical or network delays at the receiving bank

    • Compliance or security checks

  • SiFi automatically retries the payment to ensure delivery to the destination bank.

  • If the transfer cannot be completed (e.g., invalid IBAN), the amount will be refunded to your SiFi account.

  • You’ll receive email and in-app notifications for all updates.

🧩 What You Can Do

  1. Confirm with the Beneficiary

    • Double-check the IBAN and beneficiary name.

    • Ask them to check with their bank using the reference number on your receipt.

  2. Wait for the Processing Window

    • For IPS transfers: usually instant.

    • For Sarie transfers: allow up to the next working day (especially if sent after 3:30 PM).

  3. Contact SiFi Support

    • If the transfer remains unreceived after the expected time, contact us with:

      • Transfer reference number

      • Beneficiary name and IBAN
