Handling Failed Transfers

Overview

In some cases, a transfer from your SiFi account may fail due to bank restrictions, incorrect details, or system errors. This article explains how to identify the reason for failure and what steps to take next.

What Happens When a Transfer Fails

  • ❌ The transfer status changes to Failed in your dashboard.

  • 📝 A failure reason is displayed (e.g., invalid IBAN, insufficient balance, beneficiary not activated).

  • 💸 The transfer amount is automatically refunded to your SiFi account.

Common Failure Reasons

  • Invalid or inactive IBAN

  • Beneficiary not activated

  • Insufficient funds in your SiFi account

  • Transfer above allowed limits

  • Technical issues with SARIE or the receiving bank

  • Transfer attempted outside supported hours

What To Do Next

  1. Check the Failure Reason

    • Review the message displayed in the transfer detail view.

  2. Correct the Issue

    • If IBAN is incorrect → Edit beneficiary details and retry.

    • If insufficient funds → Add funds and re-submit.

    • If beneficiary not activated → Complete activation first.

  3. Retry the Transfer

    • Once the issue is resolved, re-initiate the transfer.

  4. Contact Support if Needed

    • If the issue persists after correction, contact SiFi Support for assistance.
